WINNER’s ‘LA LA’·iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ Selected As CM Songs For ‘Picoma’, The Japanese Webtoon Platform
[서울경제=최주리 기자] WINNER and iKON’s hit songs were selected as CM songs for Picoma, the Japanese webtoon platform.
Starting from today (1st), WINNER’s ‘LA LA’ will be used as a CM song for popular cartoons including ‘Waiting For Spring’ and ‘Horimiya’, while iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ will be used in ‘The Dreaming Sun’, which are currently being serviced in Picoma.
‘Picoma’ is a cartoon contents-based platform which has the most number of users in Japan, that grew rapidly in 2 years after its launch.
WINNER’s official album ‘EVERYD4Y’, released in 4 years, proved the group’s popularity in Japan by topping Japan’s iTunes Pop Album Chart and K-Pop Chart.
The Japanese version of ‘LA LA’, the song selected as Picoma’s CM song, is expected to be released on the 8th as well.
iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ from their 2nd official album ‘RETURN’ also topped Japan’s iTunes Album Comprehensive Chart, proving the group’s popularity in Japan. iKON won the best rookie award among other prominent local artists in the ‘58th Japan Record Awards’, back in 2016.
The Japanese version of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ was released today (1st), and also proved the group’s popularity in Japan by being ranked at no. 1 among iTunes K-Pop songs, Line Music Real-Time Top Songs, and no. 1 in Real-time Rankings of Uta-Net, which is a lyric search engine in Japan.
On July 28, WINNER will make appearance in ‘a-nation 2018’, which is Japan’s largest summer festival. Meanwhile, iKON will continue their promotion activities in Japan from August 24 with ‘iKON JAPAN TOUR’, which also includes a dome concert.
