BLACKPINK Makes Headlines in Japanese Sports Journals… “High Speed Dome Entrance in 1 Year and 4 Months Since Debut”
[매일경제=성정은 기자] Japanese Sports Journals highlighted BLACKPINK’s entrance in Kyocera Dome, Japan.
BLACKPINK confirmed to hold an extra concert in Japan’s Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 24, as part of the ‘BLACKPINK ARENA TOUR 2018’. After the group’s debut showcase last year on July and releasing their official debut album on August, BLACKPINK will become the first foreign girl group in Japan to hold a concert in Kyocera Dome Osaka in 1 year and 4 months since making debut.
On July 6, Sports Hochi wrote, “High Speed Dome Entrance in 1 Year and 4 Months Since Debut” on their headline, grabbing the viewers’ attention. Sankei Sports raised expectations on the end of the year by writing, “The Best Christmas Gift Presented by BIGBANG’s Little Sister Group”.
The remaining 6 biggest Sports Journals including Daily Sports, Tokyo Junichi Sports, Sports Nippon, and Nikkan Sports also highlighted BLACKPINK’s upcoming debut on Kyocera Dome.
Furthermore, TBS Wide-show ‘Hayadoki’, the famous local morning show in Japan, also spotlighted BLACKPINK’s remarkable achievements on the same day. Members of BLACKPINK shared their thoughts through a short interview and stated, “We’ll prepare for the best concert so that all of you can enjoy. Please look forward to it”.
As numerous press channels have reported, BLACKPINK will hold a total of 7 concerts in 3 cities including their performance at Osaka-jo Hall from July 24~25, Fukuoka International Congress Center from August 16~17, and at Makuhari Messe from August 24~28, prior to their concert in Kyocera Dome.
While receiving positive reviews and the fans’ support in Japan, BLACKPINK’s popularity is spreading all over the world.

The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ reached 150 million views today (7th), in 21 days and 7 hours since the MV was released, which is the fastest record among all K-Pop boy and girl groups. BLACKPINK set a milestone in K-Pop history by shortening the previous record by 3 days.
BLACKPINK will go for their 8th crown today on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’. On July 8, BLACKPINK will continue their domination in music broadcast trophies by making appearance on SBS ‘Inkigayo’.
