WINNER Successfully Finishes Their First Concert in Taipei… “Filled the Stadium with Blue Waves”
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group WINNER had their splendid first ever solo concert in Taipei, fascinating the local fans.
On September 23, WINNER held the ‘WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN TAIPEI’ concert in Linkou Stadium, Taipei and filled up the stadium with blue waves.
Various performances were prepared to display WINNER’s broad musical spectrum for 140 minutes. The members introduced themselves in Chinese, and the fans cheered at the group’s earnest self introduction.
WINNER connected with the local fans by performing their hits including ‘EMPTY’, ‘LOVE ME LOVE ME’, ‘REALLY REALLY’, and the title song ‘EVERYDAY’ from their 2nd official album.
Fans from Taipei also reacted enthusiastically at the members’ individual performances, which revealed 4 unique charms by the members.
MINO charismatically performed ‘BODY’ and ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT’ while JINU revealed his mournful musical emotions by performing G-DRAGON’s ‘Untitled’. HOONY led the stage with powerful energy by performing ‘Serenade’ and BIGBANG TAEYANG’s ‘RINGA LINGA’.
For the fans in Taipei that have waited for WINNER for a long time, YOON performed an unaccompanied version of the Chinese song ‘Tenderness’ by ‘Mayday’. The fans sang along, creating a touching scene.
The fans also created a scene by waving their phone lights when WINNER performed ‘WE WERE’. WINNER reacted to the fans’ surprise event by stating, “It was touching”, and expressed their gratitude.
A birthday slogan event for JINU who’s birthday is on the 26th also took place after the group performed ‘IMMATURE’. JINU shared his overflowing emotions by stating, “I’m so happy that the fans of Taipei were the first people to congratulate my birthday this year. I feel so touched and grateful”.
WINNER made special memories with the fans by taking group photos. The audience sang the fan song ‘MOVIE STAR’ while waiting for the members’ encore performances, filling up the stadium with warm vibes.
After successfully completing their concert in Taipei following the Seoul concert held back in August, WINNER will visit cities including Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong to fascinate global music fans.
