iKON’s ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ Worked in China… Sweeps No. 1 on Music Charts

[스포츠조선닷컴=정유나 기자] iKON was ranked at no. 1 on KUGOU and QQ Music, which is China’s largest music streaming platform. iKON proved their high popularity in the Chinese region by sweeping no. 1 spots in both platforms.

The title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ from iKON’s new mini album ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ released on the 1st topped QQ Music’s KPOP Weekly Chart. Furthermore, iKON’s MV for ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ was also placed at no. 1 on QQ Music’s KPOP MV Chart.

QQ Music is a digital music provider that represents the Chinese market, known for being a platform with over 400 million monthly users. iKON’s success in QQ Music proves the group’s dominant popularity in China.

iKON’s ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ also topped the KPOP New Releases Chart of KUGOU Music, which is known as one of the largest music platforms in China along with QQ Music.

iKON dominated various real-time music charts in Korea as soon as their new album was released, notifying a fantastic comeback. Their mini album ‘NEW KIDS: THE FINAL’ topped iTunes Album Charts in 25 countries including Brazil, Chile, Columbia, and Greece, renewing the group’s pre-existing record.

iKON’s popularity is also hot in Japan. iKON’s second Japanese album ‘RETURN’ released last month on the 26th topped Oricon’s Weekly Album Rankings. According to Oricon on the 2nd, ‘RETURN’ topped daily and weekly album rankings as soon as the album was released.
