iKON on ‘Weekly Idol’ Captures Older Sisters’ Hearts with Their Younger Boy Charms… JAY the Sexy King [COMPREHENSIVE]
After becoming the elementary school presidents with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, iKON started out by introducing themselves in younger boy versions with sweet remarks, to capture the hearts of older sisters.
DK started out by introducing himself as “noona’s love boy”. B.I stated, “Noona… I’ll call you by name now. I want to be you bed for a day”. His lips shook as if he wasn’t accustomed to it, making people burst into laughter. SONG appealed his charming lips by stating, “The younger boy you want to kiss”.
JAY made people flutter as the younger boy from Jeju by stating, “Huh? Hey Noona? You’ve waited for a long time”. JU-NE made a comment as a tough guy by stating, “Hello noonas? Don’t you smell something burning? That would be my heart”. The youngest member CHAN revealed his cuteness by stating, “It’s Jjanoo”, while BOBBY also revealed his cute aegyo.
iKON who made comeback as faint autumn men challenged on the ‘Rollercoaster Dance’ with their new song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’. iKON displayed sad facial expression acting while dancing, receiving praises from the 3 MCs. However, they failed on the ‘Rollercoaster Dance’.
On the song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, B.I explained, “The song was made in 2015. We like the word ‘flower road’, so we made a song with its antonym, ‘GOODBYE ROAD”. The other members also explained the specialness of ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ by adding, “President YANG HYUN SUK chose ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ over ‘LOVE SCENARIO’. B.I grabbed the people’s attention by stating, “The start and end of ‘FLOWER ROAD’ was CHAN”.
iKON also challenged the ‘Random Play Dance’, which they have never succeeded before. iKON challenged the dance with songs ‘MY TYPE’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and ‘KILLING ME’. However, they started revealing dance holes when the mission started. SONG even went to the opposite side while performing. Eventually, leader B.I stood in front of MC Kim Shinyoung, covering her sight. MC Lee Sangmin approved their success after stating, “There were wrong parts, but we’ll count that as swag”. iKON revealed their stance by replying, “We were communicating with the fans, as a concert version”.
Lastly, iKON ran the ‘Self Report – Show Yourself’ corner, written by themselves. B.I explained ‘innocence’ as part of the brain by explaining, “We can’t do music without innocence”. The other members including DK showed lukewarm reactions and stated, “We’ve heard that story too much”, making people burst into laughter.
B.I also revealed, “I have a dream of getting my own house. I need land to build one”. “I’ve bought some land in Gimpo, right before entering Ganghwa”. The members praised his earnings by stating, “That’s the no. 1 composer”. The MCs congratulated him by stating, “Now you just need to build the house”.
They also had time to look into each members’ chemistry and charms with genres including Bromance, Teen Film, and Rated R that fit the ‘Weekly Idol Cinema’ concepts.
BOBBY wrote himself as ‘stupid’, gathering attention. He stated, “I want to be stupid. I want to stop thinking”. BOBBY wrote SONG as the chef, B.I as the leader, and others as younger brother s 1, 2, 3, making people burst into laughter with roughly created nicknames.
BOBBY and B.I revealed their bromance chemistry. The had common denominators of ‘bad handwriting’ and ‘rap’. B.I explained, “BOBBY thinks I’m creepy”. It was because B.I tries physical affections towards BOBBY very often. They then had time to exchange eye sights, while BOBBY made people in the scene burst into laughter by looking burdensome.
Furthermore, JU-NE and CHAN were revealed to be the newly-born awkward couple of iKON. JU-NE recalled, “I felt awkward while performing the couple dance with CHAN during the concert”. B.I took the lead as the leader to get rid of their awkwardness, while JU-NE and CHAN warmly ended the bromance scene by performing another couple dance after exchanging eye contact.
The members of iKON seemed to be enthusiastic on the Rated-R genre, ever since the opening. JAY and JU-NE performed the sexy version of the official aegyo song of ‘Weekly Idol’,
