iKON Successfully Completes Their Concert in Malaysia… An Epic ‘Sing-Along’ of “LOVE SCENARIO” in Korean
[스포츠조선=이유나 기자] iKON successfully completed their concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with local fans singing along to iKON’s hits.
Yesterday (13th) at 6 PM, iKON held the ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR’ in Malawati Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur to meet the local fans.
The local fans made an epic scene by singing along to iKON’s hits in Korean during the concert. Team BOBBY song ‘MY TYPE’ while team B.I sang ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, to battle each other on singing-along to hit songs. iKON shared their gratitude towards the local fans who came to watch the group perform.
iKON performed songs from their albums including ‘BLING BLING’, ‘PERFECT’, ‘MY TYPE’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘KILLING ME’, ‘FREEDOM’, and ‘GOODBYE ROAD’. Due to the heated requests of encore performances by local fans, iKON performed a total of 23 songs including the 5 songs performed additionally.
iKON presented the performance of ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ for the first time in Malaysia. CHAN revealed his love towards the fans by explaining, “The title song is ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, but we also hope for your happiness and that you will walk the flower road. Let’s walk the flower road with iKONIC and iKON”.
The local fans also sang a birthday song for B.I, to congratulate his upcoming birthday. B.I was touched and shared his gratitude, while members of iKON responded by taking a surprise group photo with the fans after the encore performance began.
While receiving the love and support from global fans, iKON is currently continuing their overseas tour. They will perform from 10/19~10/20 in Bangkok, on 10/25 and 10/27 in Sydney and Melbourne respectively, 11/4 in Singapore, 11/11 in Manila, 11/18 in Jakarta, and on 11/25 in Hong Kong.
After making comeback on the 1st with the song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, iKON topped not only major Korean music charts but also iTunes Album Charts in 25 different countries, renewing the group’s own record. Furthermore, the group was ranked at no. 1 on the K-Pop Weekly and K-Pop MV Chart of QQ Music, which is China’s largest music platform. They also proved their popularity in China once again, by topping KUGOU Music’s K-Pop New Releases Chart.
iKON’s new mini album ‘NEW KIDS: THE FINAL’ also topped the Album Chart announced by Gaon Charts on the 11th for the 40th week rankings. The title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ topped the Downloads Chart, achieving successful results with not only their album but also the title song.
Their high spirits are also showing up in music broadcasts. iKON was ranked at no. 1 on ‘Show! Champion’ on 10/10, Mnet ‘M Countdown’ on 10/11, KBS ‘Music Bank’ on 10/12, and MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on 10/13, winning a total of 4 crowns in music broadcasts. iKON will appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ today (14th) to perform ‘GOODBYE ROAD’.
