WINNER’s MINO Reveals Final Teaser, Title Song ‘FIANCÉ’ a Trot Hip-Hop Song?

On November 24 at 10 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the third direct message teaser that shows MINO discussing his album through their official blog. The 1-minute clip previewed a part of the title song ‘FIANCÉ’ as background music. The enchanting melody of ‘Soyanggang Maid’ ran throughout, capturing the ears of viewers.
On the question that asked the genre of the title song, MINO responded, “We called it ‘trot Hip-Hop’ when we were working on it. You’ll know it when you hear it, it’s Hip-Hop!” with confidence. On the selection of the title song, MINO stated, “It will be fresh” and continued, “If you think of MINO… It will catch people off-guard”, raising the expectations of fans.
Lastly, MINO shared his thoughts by stating, “The album will be worth the wait, so please listen to it and show support. Please enjoy!”, while making a V-sign with his hand.
MINO chose the title of his first solo album as ‘XX’ with his hope that his work will be interpreted in various ways, without limiting itself through given answers and definitions.
What grabs the people’s attention is that MINO wrote, composed, and produced all 12 tracks of the album. People are raising expectations on his infinite musical caliber he will present in the future. MINO has passionately worked on the creation of his album for 2 months, making music all the time in his personal studio except when he had to go to sleep. He expressed his everything by participating in the creation of not only the music, but also the MV concept, album packaging, and promotion plans.
The title song ‘FIANCÉ’ samples ‘Soyanggang Maid’, a popular song from the 70s, to combine an old song with the genre of Hip-Hop in a trendy way. The familiar melody and its variations on rhythm will sound fresh, while the catchy melody and lyrics of the hook will grab the listeners’ ears in an instant.
