BLACKPINK, 9 Music Videos Surpass 1 Billion Views on YouTube – The Power of a “Record Maker”

“Queens of K-pop” with another 1 billion view milestone.
The music video for “Pink Venom,” the pre-release single from BLACKPINK’s 2nd full-length album,
has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 4th, BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” music video exceeded 1
billion views on YouTube at around 12:52 AM KST that day. It has taken about three years since its
release on August 19, 2022.
With this, BLACKPINK now holds a total of 9 videos that have each surpassed 1 billion views.
Previously, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” (2.3 billion views), “Kill This Love” (2.1 billion views), “How You Like
That” performance video (1.8 billion views) and music video (1.3 billion views), “BOOMBAYAH” (1.8
billion views), “As If It’s Your Last” (1.4 billion views), Lisa’s solo track “MONEY” exclusive
performance video (1.1 billion views), and Jennie’s solo track “SOLO” (1 billion views) also reached
the same milestone.
Having released a total of 50 videos with over 100 million views on YouTube so far, BLACKPINK
continues to break unprecedented and top-tier records day after day. The group’s official YouTube
channel currently boasts over 3.95 billion total views and more than 98.2 million subscribers, the
highest among all artists worldwide.
The music video for “Pink Venom” garnered 90.4 million views within 24 hours of its release, setting a
new record for the highest first-day view count by a female artist worldwide. The video also recorded
the fastest time to hit 100 million views among K-pop girl groups (29 hours and 35 minutes), and
surpassed 200 million views in just 7 and a half days, foreshadowing its explosive popularity.
“Pink Venom” is a hip-hop track that highlights BLACKPINK’s signature charisma. The intro grabs
attention with the sounds of traditional Korean instruments blended with intense beats, followed by
sharp rap and lethal vocals that dynamically showcase each member’s unique charm.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on their “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>,” consisting
of 31 shows across 16 cities. Having successfully completed concerts in Goyang, Los Angeles,
Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Paris, the group is set to continue lighting up stadiums in major
cities around the world including Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan,
