Group WINNER confirmed their comeback on December that will make the year-end of 2018 happy.
On December 11 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the ‘COMING SOON’ poster of WINNER through their official blog. WINNER sat down on the street while staring at the camera, showing off their presence in the poster with pink lighted mood. The ‘COMING SOON’ poster with ambient and warm vibes raised expectations on WINNER’s upcoming new music.
WINNER’s comeback notified through the ‘COMING SOON’ poster ins in approximately 8 months, since they released ‘EVERYD4Y’ on April.
YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK has previously announced WINNER’s comeback by writing, “NEXT IS WINNER!” on his Instagram.
He continued that WINNER’s upcoming new song will be a pre-release single. Representative YANG explained, “Due to the requests by Inner Circle, WINNER’s 3rd official album will be postponed until WINNER’s overseas tour ends next year on February”. He continued, “However, we would like to pre-release a meaningful single on December to present a happy year-end of 2018 for both WINNER and Inner Circle”.
After making debut back in 2014, WINNER formed their own unique music styles by releasing songs such as ‘EMPTY’ and ‘IMMATURE’.
The group rose even higher after their reformation into 4 members. WINNER swept top positions on music charts for over a month through ‘REALLY REALLY’, released back in April 2017. They also set a milestone of reaching 100 million chart-in streams for the first time as a male idol group. The MV for ‘REALLY REALLY’ has recently reached 100 million views, proving the group’s global popularity.
WINNER expanded their musical caliber through singles ‘LOVE ME LOVE ME’ and ‘ISLAND’, with their fresh and free charms. They also displayed musical growth as a self-producing group, by participating in the writing and composing of all 12 tracks in various genres listed on the album ‘EVERYD4Y’, released back in April.
