‘YG TREASURE BOX’, BANG YE DAM·MASHIHO on Crisis, Will They Maintain Their Debut Group Position?
[서울경제=이하나 기자] The trainees of the debut group for YG’s next generation boy group are on crisis.
Today (24th) at 11 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the preview for the 7th episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, revealing the ‘2:2-unit position swap’ mission reviewed with 100 special judges consisted of the fans online.
The 6 members of the debut group have previously formed 3 units, composed of 2 people respectively. BANG YE DAM·KEITA, KIM JUNKYU·MASHIHO, and HA YOONBIN·KIM YEONGYU formed units to prepare their competition with the 3 teams formed by the trainees.
The ‘2:2-unit position swap’ is a challenge by the trainees to overtake the debut group positions. As the fate of the units composed of two members will be dependent on a single performance, the harmony between the members is a very important factor as much as the two members’ skills and talents.
MASHIHO from the debut group revealed his confidence by stating, “I’ve prepared a lot, and I’m still confident”. However, MASHIHO made a mistake during the rehearsal stage with KIM JUNKYU while tumbling and fell on his knees.
The dance trainer abruptly called out the members and fixed their performance while stating, “You can’t perform tumbling”. MASHIHO shed tears of frustration and asked, “Will we be able to win without tumbling?”.
Meanwhile, BANG YE DAM went out to perform for the ‘2:2-unit position swap’ after stating, “I’ve came to this spot in with earnest desires, so I should secure my position”.
However, YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK revealed that BANG YE DAM who’s a strong candidate that will make debut among the trainees, he can also become a dropout by explaining, “Even YE DAM could be the drop out”.
When the results were announced after the fierce competition, representative YANG made a disconcerted look and stated, “What should I do”. The trainees were also surprised at the unexpected result.
The people are paying keen attention on whether BANG YE DAM and KEITA will maintain their debut group position by displaying good harmony, or whether the new trainees will enter the debut group after defeating the original members.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’, consisted of 10 episodes, have surpassed a total of 52 million views on VLIVE and YouTube in just 6 episodes. Not only the fans in Korea, but also all over the world have shared their support to watch the creation of a new boy group by YG that will follow the legacy of BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON.
Unlike existing debut survival programs, ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ reveals YG’s actual music producing know-hows and its internal system accumulated for the past 22 years to present the creation of the new boy group without censorship.
The 7th episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ will be pre-released through VLIVE on the 28th (Fri) at 10 PM and broadcast through JTBC2 and YouTube on the same night at 12 AM.
