‘YG TREASURE BOX’ 11 Finalists Revealed… 7 Members Will Make Final Debut [VLIVE COMPREHENSIVE]

On ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ aired through Naver VLIVE on January 11, the four teams competed each other to advance to the final stage.
The semi-final team battle has finally begun, and the four teams performed live in front of 300 audiences. While BANG YE DAM, KIM SEUNGHUN, PARK JEONGWOO, KEITA, and HARUTO were listed on the debut group, LEE BYOUNG GON, MASHIHO, KIM JUNKYU, KIM DOYOUNG, and HA YOONBIN’s team faced CHOI HYUNSUK, PARK JIHOON, KIM YEONGYU, YOSHINORI, and KIL DOHWAN’s team, along with SO JUNGHWAN, YOON JAEHYUK, KANG SUKHWA, KIM JONGSEOB, and JANG YUNSEO’s team.
A total of 11 trainees will advance to the final round, and all members of the team with the most number of votes from the audiences at the scene were to advance to the finals. Meanwhile, 3 people from the no. 2 team, 2 people from the no. 3 team, and 1 person from the no. 4 team were to advance to the final round. The Treasures and the trainees revealed their concerns due to the unexpected small number.
While the Treasure 5 opened the stage by performing ‘GOING CRAZY’, CHOI HYUNSUK, PARK JIHOON, KIM YEONGYU, YOSHINORI, and KIL DOHWAN’s team got on stage as the first runners of the competition. They selected Wanna One’s ‘BOOMERANG’ and revealed their confidence by stating, “Our performance will be the coolest among all four teams”. The team faced crisis as PARK JIHOON hurt his knee during rehearsals but grabbed the viewers’ attention with their fierce performance as they have previously announced.
After watching their performance, representative producer YANG HYUN SUK reviewed, “It’s the team I combined for the first time, and it was better than I expected. I realized why CHOI HYUNSUK was part of team A while watching the performance. They presented an amazing performance, more amazing than I have expected”. The team received 647 points for performing ‘BOOMERANG’.
SO JUNGHWAN, YOON JAEHYUK, KANG SUKHWA, KIM JONGSEOB, and JANG YUNSEO’s team followed up with EXO’s ‘Growl’. The team lacked confidence since they were composed of trainees who did not get selected. They suffered on singing high notes and dancing at the same time, but the trainees did not give up and proved their growth through their main performance.
YANG HYUN SUK made a favorable review by stating, “They lacked in some points since they had the least amount of training period, but I hope the viewers would understand with a producer’s viewpoint. I saw YOON JAEHYUK’s rapid growth”. However, the team received 607 points, which were less than what the previous team received.
LEE BYOUNG GON, MASHIHO, KIM JUNKYU, KIM DOYOUNG, and HA YOONBIN performed iKON’s ‘DUMB&DUMBER’ as the third team. Since the team had many talented individuals, all members of the team showed strong confidence. They made the audiences cheer with their exciting performance. YANG HYUN SUK reviewed, “I wonder who would win, this team or Treasure 5”, while the team received 864 points.
Treasure 5 performed as the last team. Despite the vacancy of BANG YE DAM due to his examination period, the members presented perfect teamwork while performing BTS’ ‘DNA’. YANG HYUN SUK reviewed, “I was surprised at BANG YE DAM. His dance was amazing. The fierce performance also fit KIM SEUNGHUN very well. I’m going to praise them for the first time”.
As a result, Treasure 5 received 812 points and all members from LEE BYOUNG GON, MASHIHO, KIM JUNKYU, KIM DOYOUNG, and HA YOONBIN’s team who performed iKON’s ‘DUMB&DUMBER’ advanced to the finals as the no. 1 team. BANG YE DAM, HARUTO, and PARK JEONGWOO from Treasure 5 advanced to the finals as the no. 2 team, while KEITA and KIM SEUNGHUN had to drop out from the competition. CHOI HYUUNSUK and PARK JIHOON made it to the finals from the no. 3 team, while KIM YEONGYU, YOSHINORI, and KIL DOHWAN dropped out. On the other hand, SO JUNGHWAN from the no. 4 team advanced to the finals, while YOON JAEHYUK, KANG SUKHWA, KIM JONGSEOB, and JANG YUNSEO had to leave.
Lastly, YANG HYUN SUK announced that a total of 7 trainees will make final debut as a group. He also grabbed the people’s attention by announcing that 2 additional trainees among the dropouts will advance to the finals.
