BLACKPINK to Hold Australia Tour on June… Will Visit ROSÉ’s Hometown [OFFICIAL]
[동아닷컴=전효진기자] Group BLACKPINK confirmed their Australia concert schedules for their world tour.
Today(25th) at 10 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the poster of BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] AUSTRALIA through their official blog.
Starting with their concert in Melbourne to be held on June 13 and their upcoming concert in Sydney on June 15, BLACKPINK will meet the local fans of Australia. As the concerts will be the first live performance of BLACKPINK in Australia, the group is planning to strongly carve their presence in the entire continent. In addition, as member ROSÉ has grown up in Australia in her childhood, the concerts will be more meaningful.
While currently going through their first-ever world tour in Australia, BLACKPINK has successfully finished their opening concert in Bangkok held on the 11th, and following concerts in Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. The group will now decorate the finale of their Asia tour in Taipei on March 3. Then, the group will walk the path of a ‘global girl group’ by holding concerts in 6 cities of North America, 6 regions of Europe, and in 2 cities of Australia as part of their unprecedented world tour.
After challenging the global market by partnering with Interscope Records, BLACKPINK has recently left a strong impression on US local viewers by appearing on well-known TV programs such as CBS’ ‘The Late Show’, ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’, and ‘Strahan and Sara’. Numerous foreign media such as the Billboard, Forbes, Variety, Metro, MTV, and UPI have spotlighted BLACKPINK’s promotional activities in the US.
Prior to holding their first-ever North America tour, BLACKPINK will perform at ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’, the largest music festival of the US, for the first time as K-Pop idols on April 12 and 19 to signify the start of their North America tour.
