BLACKPINK Reveals ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ Track List… Worldwide Release on April 5
[스포츠조선=정유나기자] The track list of BLACKPINK’s new EP album has been revealed. It has been confirmed to be released on April 5, worldwide.
Today(1st) at 9 AM, YG Entertainment revealed a poster containing the full track list of BLACKPINK’s new EP album, ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, through their official blog. BLACKPINK presented their fierce girl crush charms with a look with ethnic patterns in the poster.
The teaser announced that BLACKPINK’s new EP album is to be released on April 5 at 12 AM. Most new albums have been released at 6 PM after the Korean music chart reformation, but BLACKPINK made an exception since it will be released simultaneously worldwide. The request was made by Universal Music Group, to target not only Korea but also the global market.
The title song ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ is a track with fierce lead brass and epic drum sounds as its main theme. As the BLACKPINK members’ rap and vocals on top pierce through, the group’s music color is well-presented throughout the track.
TEDDY and the best producers who have been working with BLACKPINK joined for the group’s new project once again. ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was written by TEDDY and Bekuh BOOM, while TEDDY, R.Tee, 24, and Bekuh BOOM were credited as composers of the song.
In addition to ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, the second track titled ‘Don’t Know What To Do’ was listed as the sub-title song. The song has a perfect narrative with its chill and ambient verse building up to an explosive drop part. The sentimental and mournful lyrics will also make the listeners feel empathy.
Moreover, songs such as ‘Kick It’ and ‘Hope Not’ will present BLACKPINK’s broadened musical spectrum. The album also includes a remix version of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, which created global waves last year.
