[OSEN=지민경 기자] BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was chosen as the top song of the year by PAPER magazine.

On December 18(local time), ‘PAPER’s Top 50 Songs of 2019’ announced that BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ received the highest reviews.

BLACKPINK was the only K-Pop artist to be listed within the top 50 songs along with global stars such as Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.

PAPER magazine is well-known for its focus on music, art, film, fashion, and culture in the US and leads the current global trend.

Regarding the members of BLACKPINK, PAPER introduced, ‘They always feel special with their passionate energy’ and retraced back the steps the group has made during the past year with ‘KILL THIS LOVE’.

PAPER highlighted the fact that ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ set the best K-Pop girl group record on Billboard’s main charts including the ‘Hot 100’ and ‘Billboard 200’, in addition to their accumulated streams of 253 million on Spotify. The magazine also paid attention to the group as a symbol global girl power.
