– BIGBANG, successful final world tour at Osaka Dome in Japan with 100,000 fans cheering
BIGBANG, a Korean male pop group, finished their world tour in Japan at Osaka Dome, after travelling around the world three and a half times. The BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR was both an enormous success and a record breaker – it attracted 800,000 fans, the biggest number for Korean artists, and the tickets sold out in every country they visited.
BIGBANG performed in the Americas, Europe and Asia, with an accumulated travel distance of 144,689km – three and a half times around the world. Their big run across the globe finished in Japan at the Osaka Kyocera Dome on January 12 and 13, with their last overseas concert attracting whopping 100,000 fans.
BIGBANG raised their fans’ expectations in this final concert by announcing their plans for the new year. G-Dragon is expected to release his new song along with performing a tour of Japan’s 3 biggest stadiums (3 Dome Tour), which is a first for a Korean solo artist; and Taeyang also announced the launch of his new album.
Fans were excited to hear that the movie Commitment, starring T.O.P, has finished 90% of its shooting. Daesung and Seungri will both continue to work in Japan – Daesung is releasing his solo album and holding a concert, while Seungri will appear in television dramas. Fans will be able to enjoy BIGBANG through the ventures of the group’s individual members for the first half of 2013.
The worldwide tour proved BIGBANG’s unlimited potential and their phenomenal popularity around the globe. Following this significant success around the world, the tour’s grand finale, BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR: THE FINAL, will be held at the Olympic Gymnastic Arena, Seoul for three days from January 25 to 27.
