BANG YE DAM of TREASURE, “Members Came to Visit the MV Filming Scene for ‘WAYO’… Felt Grateful”
[헤럴드POP=정혜연 기자] BANG YE DAM had time to introduce his new single ‘WAYO’.
On Naver V LIVE broadcasted on the 5th, TREASURE held a free debut special countdown live.
Regarding the song ‘WAYO’, BANG YE DAM introduced, “It’s a song which a boy who cannot accept a breakup shouts out his loneliness and emptiness with the phrase ‘Wayo’. Many people will feel empathy with the song”.
He continued, “I first heard this song a couple years ago. The song traveled and eventually came back to me, which I felt was destiny”. He added, “The first demo which I’ve received was a joyful track with tropical vibes. I recorded the guide joyfully, but I didn’t know it would end up being my song. It’s really something”.
On the question asking about the new arrangement, BANG YE DAM answered, “We arranged the song to a minimal R&B track so the listeners can focus on the lyrics and vocals”.
JIHOON and JAEHYUK asked BANG YE DAM, “Were there any episodes regarding the MV shooting”, and BANG YE DAM replied, “There were many. There’s a scene where tissue paper pieces blow, but there were too many of them, so the staff members had to repeat cleaning them up and filming”.
He also added, “I also felt grateful when the members visited the scene. The song itself is so sad that I was into the mood, but I got back into reality, thanks to the members”.
CHOI HYUN SUK praised BANG YE DAM by adding, “It was the first time watching a MV filming scene. I had the thought that its cool and majestic, but mostly I felt proud of YE DAM. I was proud that he overcame all the pressure he would’ve received”.
SO JUNG HWAN reviewed, “It was also my first time visiting a MV filming scene, and YE DAM acted like an actor. His acting skills were up there. I praise him for that and thought it’s something I should learn”. HARUTO also made the scene heartwarming by stating, “I was happy to see his face become relaxed when the members arrived”.
