TREASURE Reveals Special Performance Video of ‘BOY’
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Rookie group TREASURE revealed an upgraded special performance video of ‘BOY’ to repay the global fans’ support.
On August 20 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the special performance video of ‘BOY’ through their official blog.
The video showed a back stage concept rather than a dance practice room. The free and dynamic camera angles and glamorous yet flexible screen transitions of the clip grabbed the people’s attention.
Furthermore, TREASURE’s ‘sharp group dance’ which put the people in awe was fantastic. The 12 members exploded their aura through the group performance by flowing their bodies according to the strong beat.
TREASURE, who presented their growth, showed more diverse aspects of themselves by appearing in performance units utilizing dressing rooms and hanger rooms. As a result, they made the fans focus and pay attention to each member’s detailed points.
The performance of ‘BOY’ was created by 6 world famous choreographer teams. Because the dance is an integration of the most trendy dances, people are uploading many cover versions of the dance on YouTube.
TREASURE’s title song ‘BOY’ topped iTunes Top Song charts in 19 different regions after its release on the 7th, topped Japan’s Line Music Song Top 100 Daily chart, Rakuten Music’s Real-Time Comprehensive Rankings, and AWA’s Top Rising chart. TREASURE’s debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’, officially released on the 13th, topped the daily charts of Hanteo’s Daily Album Sales chart, allowing the group to become the biggest rookies of K-Pop who have made debut this year.
The MV for ‘BOY’ also reached 10M views in 26 hours and 20M views in approximately 6 days, showing a great trend which is uncommon among rookie groups.
