BLACKPINK Plays ‘Balance Game’ with the Fans… “We are One, Hope to Get Closer”
[OSEN=지민경 기자] BLACKPINK played a game which they guessed each other’s tastes and preferences with the fans, which gave them an opportunity to get to know each other better.
On September 12 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded episode 11 of ‘24/365 with BLACKPINK’, the group’s exclusive reality show, through their official blog and BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel.
BLACKPINK took a challenge on the ‘Balance Game’, known as the most recently trending game. It is a game which they had to make a selection among extreme and opposite choices. The members of BLACKPINK had fun and intense moments as they had to guess what the fans would’ve answered.
BLACKPINK raised the people’s engagement by making honest answers and logical reasoning to the extraordinary first question.
On the question “What if you get superpowers? Teleport vs time travel”, JISOO chose the latter and put LISA in awe by stating, “I would like to go back to my childhood and catch the things I don’t remember”. JENNIE also made a creative answer by stating, “Time travel all the way. I would like to try living in a different era”.
However, BLACKPINK could not hide their hopes to meet their fans regardless of where they are and chose ‘teleportation’ as the final answer.
BLACKPINK and the fans continued to commune with each other. On the question, “What if BLACKPINK becomes family?”, JISOO answered, “The fans would like to be our little brothers and sisters” and added, “If I was a fan of someone, I would like to be looked after and taken good care of by them”. JISOO’s prediction was correct. JISOO and the members cheered and felt empathy on how the fans felt.
BLACKPINK’s charms also stood out as they talked about their different tastes. On the question, “What if you knew about your death? Time vs reason”, ROSÉ chose time and answered, “I can utilize the time I spend with my loved ones more dearly”. LISA revealed her pure emotions as she felt empathy and shed tears.
After playing the game, the members expressed their deepened emotions toward the fans. JENNIE hoped, “I hope you always know that we feel the same way”, while ROSÉ stated, “I would like go get closer to BLINK”. The members then made ‘hand hearts’ for the fans together.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is raising the status of K-Pop this year by releasing songs continuously. Starting with the song ‘Sour Candy’ released with Lady Gaga on May, they made 3 consecutive hits including the pre-release singles ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’. The song ‘Ice Cream’ entered US Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart as no. 13, renewing their own best K-Pop girl group record.
On October 2, BLACKPINK will release their official debut album ‘THE ALBUM’, being released in 4 years since making debut. The fans are also anticipating the release of ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky’, the Netflix original documentary, which is scheduled to premiere on October 14.
