TREASURE Debuts at No. 1 on Japanese Music Charts… Tops iTunes Charts in 18 Countries
[뉴시스=이재훈 기자] YG Entertainments rookie group ‘TREASURE’ proved their popularity as soon as they made comeback.
According to YG on January 12, The title track ‘MY TREASURE’ from TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ was ranked at no. 1 on the Top Rising Chart of AWA, a Japanese streaming platform. Furthermore, ‘GOING CRAZY’, the signal song of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, was ranked at no. 1 on Rakuten Music’s Real-time Comprehensive Rankings.
The two songs are still maintaining their top rank positions on both charts. Their song was also ranked at no. 2 on Line Music’s Song Top 100 chart momentarily.
Furthermore, ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ was ranked at no. 1 on iTunes charts in 18 different countries. The countries include Brazil, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Spain, and India, across many continents.
The MV for ‘MY TREASURE’ is also receiving positive reviews in and out of Korea. The video surpassed 3.5M views 13 hours after its release on YouTube. Considering that the MV for ‘MMM’ has surpassed 10M views in 72 hours, their latest MV is racking up views at a faster pace. They have also surpassed 3.23M YouTube channel subscribers.
TREASURE has recently dominated rookie awards in major year-end award ceremonies, raising anticipation on their upcoming activities this year. They received rookie awards at the ‘35th Golden Disk Awards’ held on the 10th, the ‘2020 Asia Artist Awards’, and the ‘2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards’.
