iKON Reveals ‘Why Why Why’ Lyric Teaser… Rising Expectations on Comeback
[스포츠서울=홍승한 기자] iKON revealed part of the MV visuals and lyrics of their upcoming single, with 5 days left until the date of their comeback.
On February 26, YG Entertainment uploaded the first lyric teaser for iKON’s upcoming single through their official social media account.
The video began with JAY leaning to a wall while sitting on a bench. His empty looking eyes and the lyrics, ‘I couldn’t even protect you, the flower’, raised ardent emotions.
DK made his appearance afterwards, presenting lonely aura while sitting in a sofa placed on the floor filled with water. It seemed to symbolize his inner side filled with sadness. The lyrics, ‘There wasn’t a single moment I didn’t love you’ added more lingering feelings for the viewers.
Through the lyric teaser presenting iKON’s breakup emotions, one can assume the overall mood of the ‘Why Why Why’ MV. The lyrical melody and JU-NE’s emotional vocals were also teased through the teaser, raising expectations on the full version of the track.
Making return in approximately a year, iKON is showing off their variety of charms with teaser contents with soft and dreamlike vibes. The people are looking forward to the story iKON will tell through the song ‘Why Why Why’, due to its short yet impactful 3-word title.
iKON’s digital single ‘Why Why Why’ will be released on March 3 at 6 PM. At 5 PM, an hour prior to the release of the album, iKON will meet the fans through the Naver V LIVE ‘Countdown Live’.
Meanwhile, iKON will appear on Mnet’s boy group survival program ‘Kingdom’ following the release of their new single, which will premiere on April 1.
