BLACKPINK Listed on U.S. Billboard HOT 100 CHART for 6 Consecutive Weeks
[이데일리 스타in=조태영 기자] Group BLACKPINK listed their name on U.S. Billboard’s Main Single Chart for 6 consecutive weeks.
According to the recent chart released by Billboard on the 4th (local time), the pre-release single and title-song for BLACKPINK’s 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’, ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’ recorded 67th and 87th on Billboard’s HOT 100. As a result, ‘Shut Down’ which entered the chart as 25th on the chart last week, and ‘Pink Venom’ have stayed on the HOT 100 Chart for 6 consecutive weeks.
It’s also continuing to show great records on Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) charts, which decides its ranking based on streaming and music sales. ‘Shut Down’ and ‘Pink Venom’, which ranked first and second on the charts last week, respectively, ranked fourth and 10th again this week, successfully maintaining the top 10. On Billboard 200, which is the main album chart, the group’s second full album ‘Born Pink’ ranked 4th, maintaining their spot in the top five rank for two consecutive weeks.
BLACKPINK is gaining popularity not only on Billboard but also on various global music charts as well. It has all topped the UK official charts and the weekly top song charts of Spotify, the world’s largest streaming site.
BLACKPINK will kick off their ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]’ on the 15th and 16th of October at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO DOME.
