YG Confirms Launching of New Girl-group ‘BABY MONSTER’ in 7 Years…7 Members Unveiled for the First Time

[헤럴드POP=정현태 기자] YG Entertainment will be launching a new girl-group.

YG Entertainment put up a video called ‘YG NEXT MOVEMENT’ at 12AM on the 1st of January, officially launching their new girl-group ‘BABY MONSTER’, which comes in 7 years. Through the clip, YG unveiled the 7 members for the first time.

Not only did YANG HYUN-SUK, YG’s executive producer appear, but various YG artists such as BLACKPINK JENNIE and LISA, WINNER, and AKMU appeared in the clip, talking about how the felt about the group.

YG artists complimented the member’s talent and skills saying that “They’re the type of singers that’s hard to find in Korea”, “Has the charm to steal attention right away”, and “There weren’t many talents that were this good”.

BLACKPINK JENNIE said “They’re really good overall”, and LISA said “All 7 members seem to fit each other really well”. LISA also showed how much love she has for the group by directing their choreography class herself.

With compliments pouring in by other YG artists, details such as names, age, and nationality haven’t been unveiled just yet.

YG plans to release their information and detailed profiles of the members through continuous promotion, starting off with the first video they revealed today.

Members of BABY MONSTER became YG trainees after going against thousands of applicants each, and became part of the group after going through an average of 4 years of training. Most of the girls are known to be in their teenage years.

The program was put in place to showcase BABY MONSTER’s skills and talents to the public first and ask for their evaluation, as they’re still trainees and haven’t made their official debut. Members prepared for this program for the past year, and the results will soon be unveiled to the public.

Even more attention is being drawn to this mysterious group because of the fact that YG’s new girl-group comes in 7 years.
