TREASURE to Perform at Japan’s ‘Summer Sonic’ and ‘Waterbomb Nagoya’… Growing as a Performance-based Group
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] Boy group TREASURE will be taking the stage at ‘WATERBOMB NAGOYA 2023.’
On April 26th, TREASURE’s agency YG Entertainment announced, “They will perform at the outdoor concert ‘Waterbomb Nagoya 2023,’ which will be held at Aichi Sky Expo in Nagoya, Japan, on July 22nd.”
‘Waterbomb’ is a large-scale summer festival that attracts tens of thousands of spectators every year. Recently, the event has expanded its scope globally beyond South Korea. Following their appearance at Japan’s representative music festival ‘SUMMER SONIC 2023,’ TREASURE has secured their first Japanese tour of ‘Waterbomb,’ solidifying their position as a new powerhouse of the festival circuit.
Since completing two solo concerts in Seoul last year, TREASURE has been moving around the world, thriving as a popular global group. They have been receiving attention as YG’s next-generation ‘performance-based artists,’ thanks to their dazzling growth and unrivaled stage presence through their active tours, which have expanded their fan base.
In particular, their growth in Japan has been extremely steep, regardless of online or offline platforms. They have proven their popularity by sweeping the top spots on various major charts with every album released locally. In their successful Japanese tour that ended in January, they set a new record for the most attendees at a first tour for a Korean artist, attracting nearly 300,000 spectators.
TREASURE, who is currently on their first Asian tour spanning eight cities and 12 performances, has successfully completed concerts in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, and Macau. They only have their finale performance in Hong Kong on May 20th left.
