BABYMONSTER Surpasses 520,000 Sales With Debut Album
[이데일리 스타=윤기백 기자] Group BABYMONSTER has achieved half a million sales with its official debut album.
According to Hanteo Chart, as of today, BABYMONSTER’s 1st mini album ‘BABYMONS7ER’ has recorded a total of 524,925 copies sold since its release on April 1.
‘BABYMONS7ER’ initially set a record-breaking first-week sales for a K-pop girl group debut album with 401,287 copies sold. More than seven weeks later, it continues to show a steady rise in sales, ultimately reaching the half-million milestone.
A representative from YG stated, “The demand in major music markets such as Japan and China exceeded our expectations, prompting several additional productions. The explosive increase in album sales, considered a measure of a core fandom, indicates that the fanbase is expanding globally beyond domestic borders.”
