SEUNGRI’s returns with addictive beat + dreamlike MV

[마이데일리 = 최지예 기자] BIGBANG’s SEUNGRI returns with a song that has a heavily addictive beat and a dreamlike music video.

 

At noon of August 19, through different online music websites, SEUNGRI revealed his 2nd solo mini album ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’ and the music video of the title song ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’.

The music video features SEUNGRI in a chic monotonic suit, with a sharp appearance and a somewhat subtle masculine charm. SEUNGRI indicates a completely transformed self in the latest album, as he was known for his energetic and bubbly character until now.

 

In a pent-house like setting, SEUNGRI exhibits the choreography of ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ in the music video. The movement of his hips is already drawing much attention. In the latter part of the song, the remix version of ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ portrays SEUNGRI dancing along the powerful and addictive beat.

HAN SA MIN, the director who was in charge of BIGBANG’s ‘BLUE’, ‘BAD BOY’, and ‘MONSTER’ music videos, put an emphasis on SEUNGRI’s visual appeals with the matured music. He strays away from a set story or the theme. SEUNGRI, through his SNS, showed his confidence to the fans, “I think this MV is the coolest I’ve ever filmed.”

 

‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ is a fast-paced but lyrical House music, which a gradually climaxing beat and SEUNGRI’s very own soft voice creating a mystic harmony. The more you listen to the melody, the more you are pulled into the song.

The title song ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ is the first song on the track list of album ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’, which was co-written and composed also by BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON and TAEYANG. Other songs like ‘GG BE’, ‘YOU HOOOO!!!’, and ‘Come to My’ are few of the many uniquely titled songs in the new album.

 

SEUNGRI’s latest mini album is revealed online first, and will go on sale offline on August 21 across all South Korean music stores. He will showcase his first performance on August 22 at Mnet’s M Countdown, a cable channel.
