YG “WIN”, Second Viewer Vote… Will Team A Win Again?
[OSEN=박현민 기자] YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s survival show “WHO IS NEXT: WIN” (“WIN”), a show for selection of the members of YG’s next boy band, begins its second viewer vote.
In “WIN”s episode 8 which will be aired on the 11, “WIN”’ Team A and B’s 11 members will disclose their own choreography and songs, which will add all the more fuel to the popularity of the show and its second viewer vote.
In the first battle where Big Bang and 2NE1 played the role of the judge panel, Team B won, but the winner of the first viewer vote was Team B. This is why more people are paying keen attention to the result of the second vote.
For performance of designated songs in the second battle aired in episode 7, Team A of Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon, Nam Tae Hyun, and Gang Seung Yoon sang Tamia’s “Officially Missing You” and Team B of B.I, Kim Jin Hwan, Bobby, Song Yoon Hyung, Goo Jun Hwe, and Kim Dong Hyuk sang Justin Bieber’s “Baby”, fiercely competing against each other.
For the battle, Gang Seung Yoon who became the leader of Team A instead of former leader Min Ho who had injured his ankle did the arrangement and every member of Team A expressed their own stories about “missing myself of the past” in sincere lyrics and perfect harmony, winning the hearts and minds of not only the judges but also viewers. During their performance, the show recorded the highest-ever viewer rating and it went viral in cyber space, through search engines and SNS, showing their high popularity once again.
A dream judge panel including Park Jin Young, Yoon Jong Shin, and Lee Hyun Do who watched their performance spared no compliments, saying “I was so excited.” and “You really rock”. Viewers of the show are expressing high expectations for the latter half of the second battle which will be aired in the episode 8, where the two teams will compete with songs they wrote by themselves.
Notably, on the 12, 11 “WIN” members meet fans in “High Touch with WIN” event which will be held for one and a half hour from 1:00pm at Time Square located in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
Meanwhile, the second battle of “WIN” which will be aired at 10pm on Mnet and at 11:20pm on tvN on the 11 is expected to be a neck-and-neck match, since the first battle was a needle match as well.
The vote by viewers is conducted for three days from right after the end of the episode 8 until the midnight on the 13 on search engine DAUM, Kakaotalk, and Kakao game “Fantasy Runners for Kakao”. The votes will be summed up to be reflected in the final result.
