GD·TAEYANG·f(x): K-Pop stars land in Shanghai!
[이데일리 스타in 김은구 기자] The stars of K-Pop are going to land in Shanghai, China.
On March 22 at 7 pm (local time), this year’s largest K-Pop concert “Simply K POP Tour 2014 in Shanghai” is to be held for 3 hours at Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai.
This concert showcases 12 artists including BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON and TAEYANG, f(x), CRAYON POP, U-KISS, RAINBOW, BLOCK B, VIXX, A-JAX, C-REAL, KAN MI YOUN, and JJUN. These artists are to deliver some very dynamic performances across a wide range.
The event is supervised by Arirang TV and Shanghai Oriental Satellite TV, while hosted by Entercrew and F.M. Media. The ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is sponsoring the event in partner with the China Children and Teenagers Fund (CCTF).
A part of the profit will be used for establishing China-Korea Friendship Library through the CCTF in Anqing, the area severely damaged by the Sichuan earthquake.
A local press conference is to be held on March 21, where government officials from both countries and local press will participate. Here the ceremonious delivery of the first signboard of China-Korea Friendship Library on which all the participating artists’ names embedded will take place.
Entercrew, the host, commented, “This event goes beyond China-Korea friendship and K-Pop’s societal participation, and aims to unite K-Pop fans around the world. In April it will be aired through Arirang TV and Shanghai Oriental Satellite TV across 192 countries, reaching 105 million homes and 330 million people.
They added, “We will lead the way to unleash the positive influence of K-Pop through continuing on with this project and building China-Korea Friendship Library all across China, helping China’s next generation learn Korean characters and culture.”
