TAEYANG’s heat still on: “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” tops 6 weekly charts
[OSEN=최나영 기자] TAEYANG’s title track “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” of his 2nd full album, released almost one month ago, is showing an incredible dominance as it still heats up the music world.
According to online music weekly charts ranking released on June 30, TAEYANG’s track topped 6 major domestic charts like Melon, Olleh Music, Genie, Naver, Cyworld and Monkey 3. It is a runner-up on Daum and Soribada.
Last week the song ranked #1 on 2 sites—Melon and Naver—but TAEYANG won back his top position on four extra sites this week.
TAEYANG’s album also topped Melon’s album category of the “trend chart” for 4 weeks in a row while topping pop category on “genre chart” for 3 weeks, and ranking #1 in the ballad category of “style chart” for 4 consecutive weeks.
In the recent music world where things change quickly, topping charts like TAEYANG for almost a month is surely unprecedented. The achievement is even more special as TAEYANG, who was used to be known for his dynamic performances, focused only on his vocal talents this time. It was a new challenge, and fans responded enthusiastically.
