[OSEN=강서정 기자] BIGBANG’s DAESUNG brought in a sensation in Japan with his solo album.

On July 16, DAESUNG tweeted on YGEX (A new label created by YG and AVEX), “I was able to top Oricon Daily Ranking, all thanks to you!”

In the uploaded photo, he smiles widely standing beside celebratory food.

On the day, he released the solo “D’slove” album in Japan, and had the honor of topping Oricon Daily Ranking on the same day.

According to YG Entertainment, his agency, his LP sold 30,099 copies, beating other local artists to rank #1. It is his first time topping the chart.

Last year he unveiled his solo album “D’scover” in Japan and ranked #2 on the same chart, which was the best achievement for a first album of a Korean solo artist from a group.

DAESUNG was involved in writing songs in “D’slove” and was also in charge of album total production, boasting his talents as a producer.

The new album includes a song “I LOVE YOU” which was used as the theme song of UULA drama “I LOVE YOU” in Japan in July. It is a collabo with a world-renowned Japanese violinist Hakase Taro. Another is “RAINY RAINY,” which topped Japan’s iTunes overall top album. The album holds a total of 10 songs, recorded in Japanese. It is more meaningful as it is his very first solo original album that he was in charge of total production.

On July 17 and 18, DAESUNG is scheduled to continue on with his Solo Arena Tour in Budoukan, Mecca for concerts in Japan.
