BIGBANG’s 8th Anniversary image unveiled: Comeback this year?
[동아닷컴 = 정준화 기자] YG Entertainment unveiled an image that celebrates the 8th anniversary of its boy group BIGBANG.
YG congratulated the members by posting the image of 5 members on YG LIFE, its official blog, on August 19.
Each member poses before the camera, underneath the caption that reads, “8TH ANNIVERSARY BIGBANG.”
Making a debut in 2006 with the single album “Bigbang,” BIGBANG has been actively pursuing their musical career home and abroad. Some of the many hit songs of BIGBANG are “LIES,” “LAST GOODBYE” and “HARU HARU,” while each member also branched out to other fields like composing, starring in films, dramas and variety show programs.
In celebration of their 8th anniversary, they are expected to make a comeback in the later half of the year with a new album. G-DRAGON, at the “AIA REAL LIFE: NOW Festival 2014” held on August 15, promised the fans they will be back with a new album in Korea.
GD said, “Next weeks is BIGBANG’s 8th anniversary. It’s been long since we released an album. We should have been working hard but instead we were too busy having fun. We are going to work on it so we can release one before the year ends.”
BIGBANG’s last album was a special edition “STILL ALIVE” released in June 2012. Each member has been working on individual projects for the last 2 years.
