DAESUNG’s Japanese Version of “Look At Me Gwisoon” Tops Oricon

[스타뉴스 윤성열 기자] BIGBANG’s DAESUNG is attracting much attention by topping the Oricon chart with his new album in Japan.

Oricon, the largest music site in Japan, announced on Oct 30 that DAESUNG’s new mini album “D-LITE” topped the chart by selling 65,048 copies in just one day of its release on Oct 29.

His newest album features 9 versions of a total of 4 songs, including 3 new enka songs. The song “LOOK AT ME GWISOON,” which attracted much attention in Korea for featuring GD, became the title song in the Japanese album. The song is recorded in Japanese.

Korea’s group Got7 and APink were also ranked within the top 5 of the Japanese chart with their new debut singles.

Got7’s “Around the World” released on Oct 22 in Japan sold whopping 36,489 copies, ranking #3 on the Japanese chart for singles.

“Around the World” is an energetic album that features the members chasing after their dreams. The title track is “Around the World,” and other songs like “So Lucky,” produced, written and composed by 2PM’s Jun.K.

APink’s debut single “No No No’ also sold whopping 32,720 copies, coming in at #4. This is a translated version of the song released in Korea last July, and other songs like “My My” are also included in the album.
