WINNER Awarded “New Artist” – “We Thank Mr YANG” (Melon Music Award)
[엑스포츠뉴스=정희서 기자] WINNER seized the trophy for “New Artist” at 2014 Melon Music Award (MMA).
At the MMA held at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena on Sept 13, WINNER was awarded the precious prize.
WINNER commented, “Thank you for rewarding us with this very special award that can be given to you just once in your life. Thank you Mr YANG and the fans for helping us be here.”
Marking its 6th anniversary this year, the MMA is hosted by Loen Entertainment, the agency that operates Melon music site, and MBC Plus Media. It is a ceremony awarding digital music, and the champion is determined by Internet users’ online voting and Melon usage data for one year.
The event was held under the theme “MelOn, You: Your Music Story.” The keywords of this year in the music world were harmony, cooperation and diversity.
Artists came together to console each other and the entire Korean nation who went through many unfortunate incidents this year by providing a source of happiness through music.
