DAESUNG’s Collabo with Yamamoto Linda Electrifies 26,000 Fans
[스타뉴스 문완식 기자] BIGBANG’s DAESUNG kick started his Japan solo arena tour encore concert in huge success, attracting 26,000 fans for 2 days.
YG Entertainment said on Feb 2 that DAESUNG, after successfully finishing the D-LITE DLive 2014 in Japan~D’slove~ across 8 cities performing 15 times joined by 170,000 fans, was back in Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Stadium for his encore concert on Jan 31 and Feb 1. It was held under the title “Encore!! 3D Tour [D-LITE DLive D’slove].”
In the encore tour, DAESUNG added tracks from his first original album “D’slove” which he did not showcase in the tour. The encore concert was renewed for the fans.
His concert on Feb 1 attracted more attention than any as he was joined by the Japanese singer Yamamoto Linda, famously known for her mega-hit track “Donimo Tomaranai.”
Last December, DAESUNG included a cover of Yamamoto’s song in his mini album “D-Lite” released in Japan. This is how the collaboration with the original artist was able to happen.
Yamamoto Linda once commented, “I am happy that he sang my song with much delight. The chorus was fun. Please have fun on stage. Maybe I shall join you sometime,” and with that she happily took the offer to collaborate and stood on stage for DAESUNG’s latest concert.
When singing “Donimo Tomaranai,” DAESUNG shouted “Yamamoto Linda,” who actually appeared on stage. The breath-taking harmony between the two simply blew the minds of the 13,000 audiences.
Now that he is done with the Tokyo concert, DAESUNG will move on to Osaka to perform on Feb 10 and 11 at the Osaka Castle, putting an end to his encore tour.
