BIGBANG’s “LOSER” Climbs Back Up: T.O.P M/V Solo Clip Unveiled
[스포츠서울=홍승한 기자] BIGBANG’s T.O.P is to unveil a solo music video clip of “LOSER.”
YG Entertainment revealed a teaser image of T.O.P’s solo clip video of BIGBANG’s “LOSER” on its official blog (www.yg-life.com) at 2pm on May 23.
The teaser image that features the members in black and white has a caption that reads, “BIGBANG MADE SERIES ‘M’ / LOSER M/V SOLO CLIP : T.O.P,” hinting that the video will be unveiled at 9pm tonight.
YG already unveiled DASEUNG, TAEYANG, GD and SEUNGRI’s solo videos consecutively on its blog. The solo videos were uncovered in celebration of “LOSER” hitting 20 million views. Viewers are able to see a whole different package of charms from the original video that featured the members’ detailed acting.
“LOSER” is continuously attracting viewers. At 2pm on May 22 it hit 22.8 million views, soon to hit 23 million.
The “LOSER” soundtrack itself is still garnering popularity. According to Genie’s ranking of 3rd week of May (May 14-20), “LOSER” topped the chart for 96 hours and has been staying at the top position for 3 consecutive weeks since its release on May 1.
As of 7am on May 23, “LOSER” climbed back up the rankings on South Korea’s major music sites like Melon and Monkey 3. The 23-day journey is indeed a record-breaker.
BIGBANG is also sweeping across all music programs, whether it is terrestrial or cable. On KBS’s Music Bank aired on May 22 BIGBANG seized the trophy 2 weeks in a row, collecting a total of 9. On SBS’s Inkigayo to be aired on May 24, the quintet is aiming to accomplish a triple-crown record.
