iKON’s “MY TYPE” stays in the No.1 place on 7 charts for three days in a row… MV soon to surpass 3mn views
[와우스타=유병철 기자] YG rookie idol group iKON’s debut warm-up single “MY TYPE” is continuing to draw big popularity, staying in the top place for three days in a row since its release.
iKON’s “MY TYPE” swept No.1 place on music charts upon entering charts right after its release on the 15 at 0 o’clock. As of the 17 at 8am, on the third day of the song’s release, “MY TYPE” is staying in the top place on seven music charts: Melon, Olleh, Bugs, Genie, NAVER Music, Monkey 3, and Soribada, showing a record success.
The song is also staying in the No.1 on the iTunes chart of three countries: Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, proving the team’s high popularity not only in Korea but also in overseas countries.
The music video is also enjoying a continuous popularity. The music video of “MY TYPE”, which is also drawing keen attention by showing the fresh and energetic appeal of iKON, is also soon to surpass three million views. The music video is recording more than 2,970,000 views on YouTube as of the 17 at 8am.
Meanwhile, after the big hit of “MY TYPE” and successful debut, iKON will release “DEBUT HALF ALBUM ‘WELCOME BACK’” on October 1 and “DEBUT FULL ALBUM WELCOME BACK’” on November 2.
Plus, iKON will hold debut concert “SHOWTIME” on October 3 at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in Seoul. The tickets for the concert were all sold out upon the opening of ticket sale on the 16, proving the high popularity of the team.
