2NE1’s DARA joins “Sugar Man”… First MC-ing for a TV show
[스타뉴스=윤상근 기자] 2NE1’s DARA tries her first-ever MC-ing in JTBC’s “To You Project – Sugar Man” (“Sugar Man”).
DARA’s label YG Entertainment announced that DARA will join the show as the MC. DARA will try MC-ing for the first time in six years since her debut as 2NE1 in 2009.
‘’Sugar Man’’ that was piloted in August is a show in which past hit songs are recreated into latest versions and singers compete by singing those songs.
It is known that DARA is working hard now, to show her new ability and appeal, adding to her existing cheerful image. The staff of the show expressed high expectations for her, saying, ‘’we think that DARA had a strong advantage in that she can appeal to both old and young generations. We expect that she will display new appeals, leading the show to success’’.
DARA said, ‘’I’m so excited as it is the first opportunity for me to work as the MC for a TV show. I think it’s a really good opportunity. I’m happy to work with the best MC, songwriters, and lyricists. If I can get an opportunity, I also want to perform as a singer on the stage created those people, too.’’
