BIGBANG’s LA concert was included in “world’s top 10 concert that recorded bit ticket sales” list
[헤럴드POP=남안우 기자] BIGBANG’s LA Staples Center concert held as part of the team’s “MADE” world tour has been enlisted in the world’s top 10 concert that recorded biggest ticket sales.
Recently, Billboard selected “World’s top 10 concerts that recorded biggest ticket sales” based on the box-scores collected from the 6 to 12 this month. BIGBANG’s LA concert held on the 3 this month (local time) took the 10th place on the list. Notably, BIGBANG proved their global influence by being listed in the top 10 only for one concert.
According to Billboard, BIGBANG’s LA concert held on the 3 this month had total 13,361 people of audience, recording 1,715,587 dollars (19.4 billion Korean won) of ticket sales. Taylor Swift who is the most popular female singer in the pop-music scene these days, took the No.1 in the list, recording 13,690,251 dollars of ticket sales for five concerts. Famous stars including Shania Twain, Mark Anthony, AD/DC, and Katy Perry were also included in the top 10. BIGBANG was the only Asian singer to be included in the list.
BIGBANG has successfully rounded off their North American tour that drew total 87,000 fans for Las Vegas concert held on the 2 this month, as well as for the LA, Anaheim, New Jersey, Mexico, and Toronto concerts. BIGBANG’s North American tour was extolled by major media outlets including New York Times and The Guardian, which said, “The power of each member was proven”, “The concept of today’s boy group was re-established by BIGBANG”, etc. Now that BIGBANG has been included in the world’s top 10 concerts with biggest ticket sales along with world-famous pop stars, BIGBANG’s global influence and popularity was proven once again.
Meanwhile, after the success of their North American tour, Australian tour, and concerts in Macao, BIGBANG will kick off “BIGBANG WORLD TOUR 2015~2016 ‘MADE’ IN JAPAN” which will be held for four days from November 12 to 15. Plus, BIGBANG will meet Korean fans by performing at “2015 Melon Music Awards” to be held on November 7 at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in Seoul.
