[Music Talk Talk] iKON Releases in Relay Sentimental Teaser Posters for “APOLOGY”
[OSEN=박소영 기자] iKON fans have something to look forward to everyday until the comeback of iKON on November 16. Starting with B.I’s teaser poster, the teaser posters of iKON members have been released one by one.
At 9 AM on November 14, YG Entertainment posted the sixth teaser poster of iKON’s new digital single “APOLOGY” on its official blog. The poster features BOBBY looking forlorn along with the lyrics of “APOLOGY” that goes “I hope the times we had spent together are as short and beautiful as the sunset.”
The first teaser poster that was released was B.I’s. His poster had “We didn’t even take a photo together. Until the very last moment, our relationship is all about me” part of the lyrics of “APOLOGY written on it.
“You have always been there for me but I was gone I was gone” part is in JU-NE’s poster and “I promised that I’ll always be with you but that promise is gone now. Sorry for leaving you” in KIM JINHWAN’s poster.
In the afternoon on November 13, the teaser posters of KIM DONGHYUK and JUNG CHANWOO were released. The posters each featured parts of the lyrics of ““APOLOGY”: “You’re a fool to trust me. I said I will always be with you but it was a lie, a lie” in KIM DONGHYUK’s poster and “The last missed call from you is on my phone, which I left facing down” in JUNG CHANWOO’s poster.
Expectations are running high for SONG YUNHYEONG’s teaser poster. His poster will be released before the comeback of iKON on November 16.
“APOLOGY” is a slow R&B song expressing the sad feelings of a man who is leaving his lover against his will. B.I and BOBBY participated in writing the lyrics, and YG’s top producers TEDDY and KUSH participated in making the song’s music and lyrics and also its arrangement.
Expectations are running higher now that it is announced that their new single is a slow R&B song, which is a new genre for iKON. iKON’s previous singles were all hiphop songs: “MY TYPE” is a medium tempo hiphop song and “RHYTHM TA” is a hiphop song with a powerful beat.
B.I and BOBBY’s duet single “ANTHEM” will also be released as the subtitle song. Expectations are running high for the two new singles of iKON as they will be showing totally different sides of iKON.
“ANTHEM” and “APOLOGY” will be released along with the MVs at 12 AM on November 16. iKON’s debut full album will be released on December 14.
