With iKON’s “APOLOGY” Taking No.1 Spot on Inkigayo Charts, iKON Now Has Three No.1 Singles
[OSEN=정준화 기자] They release a single, and it becomes No.1 on the charts. iKON’s new single “APOLOGY” topped the Ingikayo charts. From “MY TYPE” to “RHYTHM TA” and “APOLOGY”, all iKON’s singles have topped the charts, proving that they are a “monster rookie”.
On November 29, iKON’s “APOLOGY” took the No.1 spot on SBS’s Inkigayo charts. The show was prerecorded, so the chart results were announced on the website after the show.
iKON’s “APOLOGY” ranked No.1 followed by EXID’s “HOT PINK” and Dynamic Duo’s “Jam” as second and third place.
Earlier on, iKON became No.1 on the charts of SBS’s Inkigayo, Mnet’s M Countdown, and MBC’s Show!Music core with their warm up single “MY TYPE” and debut half album single “RHYTHM TA”. With their “APOLOGY” topping the charts, all the singles that iKON released have become No. 1 on the music show charts.
On the Ingikayo show that day, iKON performed “APOLOGY” and “ANTHEM” on TV for the first time. Originally, iKON was to perform their two new singles on November 22 show of Inkigayo. However, because of former President Kim Young-sam’s death, the show got cancelled and iKON’s first TV performance of “APOLOGY” and “ANTHEM” was put off one week. First, B.I and BOBBY went up on the stage and performed “ANTHEM” with strong hiphop energy. The audience’s response was phenomenal. Then, iKON performed “APOLOGY” and showed off their unique sensitivity as a group. Their powerful voice and soft rapping was especially impressive.
Meanwhile, Vixx, iKON, EXID, Dynamic Duo, B.A.P, Brown Eyed Girls, Lee Hong-gi, Seo In-young, Monsta X, December, Twice, Snuper, M.A.P6, Navi, Legend, DiaGirls appeared on SBS’s Inkigayo on November 29.
