iKON confirmed “WHAT’S WRONG?” as one of the double title tracks for their new album… Written by B.I and BOBBY
[일간스포츠=황미현 기자] iKON has confirmed “WHAT’S WRONG?” as the title of the double title tracks to be released on the 24 this month.
On the 18 at 10:30am, YG Entertainment announced the news by uploading a teaser poster on the company’s official blog.
On the poster that displays serious and charismatic iKON members, the title of new song “WHAT’S WRONG?” and credit for the song have also been unveiled. The lyrics of “WHAT’S WRONG?” were written by B.I and BOBBY, its melody was written by B.I and ROVIN, and the arrangement was done by ROVIN. As such, B.I and BOBBY took part in the lyrics and melody of the new song.
At the bottom of the poster, a schedule that reads “iKON DEBUT FULL ALBUM [WELCOME BACK]’ ‘ONLINE 2015.12.24 0AM / OFFLINE 2015.12.24” is also unveiled, announcing the fact that the new album will be released on-line on the 24 at 0’clock and the off-line album on the 24 as well.
After their debut with “MY TYPE”, a song of a sentimental rhythm, in September, iKON recorded big success for three times in a row with slow hip-hop music “RHYTHM TA” released in October and slow song “APOLOGY” released last month, taking No.1 on major music charts. iKON also received the rookie of the year awards in Melon Music Awards and MAMA for this year.
“WHAT’S WRONG?” to be unveiled on the 24 is fast-paced, intense, and exciting rock music, which is different from the songs iKON has released so far. It is drawing all the more attention, as it is known to be a song that goes well with the atmosphere of the Christmas holiday season. “WHAT’S WRONG?” is a song written by iKON’s leader B.I by the end of iKON’s preparation for their new album. When YG’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK first listened to this song, he changed the plan for the new album to give it double title tracks by adding “WHAT’S WRONG?” to another song that was originally decided to be the title track of the album. YANG also expressed his strong will to create the music video of the song, even though the release of the album is delayed by 10 days.
iKON is now shooting the music video of “WHAT’S WRONG?” in Seoul for three days. As the date of the album’s release has been postponed because of “WHAT’S WRONG?” and YG wants to create the music video of this song even though it causes a big cost, the song must be one in which the members’ put much efforts. So, people are very much looking forward to it.
Meanwhile, iKON’s new songs and a full-album will be released on the 24 this month, on the Christmas Eve. iKON’s member B.I and BOBBY will appear in SBS TV’s “I Love Sunday – Running Man” show to be aired on the 20, to show off their wits and meet TV viewers.
