iKON’s B.I Pondering over What to Focus on More, iKON’s Comeback or BOBBY’s Solo Single
[OSEN=정준화 기자] New #WYD messages from iKON’s leader B.I and JUNG CHAN WOO have been revealed. A #WYD message is an image of a message that is sent by singers to their fans pretending to be their boyfriends.
On May 21, B.I’s #WYD message was posted on YG’s official blog. B.I’s texts were “iKON or BOBBY? That’s the question” and “What do you think?” He also sent an emoticon of a cute bear that looks as if it is thinking hard about something.
JUNG CHAN WOO’s #WYD message was also revealed. He texted, “What ya doin’” and “I’m at our concert in Nanjing. I miss you. Wait for me.”
Since May 16, YG has been posting #WYD messages about iKON and BOBBY’s new songs. They first released BOBBY’s text saying that he is recording a solo single. Then, BOBBY’s texts that said he was “shooting a music video for the first time in my life” and “the song is a really fierce and powerful hiphop song” were revealed on May 19. Afterwards, YG posted B.I’s #WYD message saying, “What are you doing tomorrow? I miss you” on its official blog, raising the expectations of fans.
To add excitement, B.I’s new #WYD message was revealed on May 21. It will be interesting to see which project will first see light: iKON’s comeback or BOBBY’ solo single.
Meanwhile, nine months have passed since iKON debuted in September last year with “MY TYPE”. Since then, they have won a number of awards at the end of 2015 and held a solo concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium successfully, earning them the title “monster rookie”.
Demonstrating their global popularity, iKON has held several concerts abroad. They will perform at the Nanjing Olypic Center Gymnasium on May 21 as part of their “iKONCERT 2016 ‘SHOWTIME TOUR”. They will continue on with their by holding concerts in Shenzhen on June 3, and in Shanghai on June 11.
