iKON’s second Japan arena tour has begun! Fascinating 8,000 fans
[동아닷컴=곽현수 기자] iKON has successfully begun “iKON JAPAN TOUR 2016”, the second Japan arena tour since their debut, in the first show of the tour held in Chiba, Japan.
iKON proved their big popularity in Japan by fascinating more than 8,000 fans in the first show of their arena tour concert, which was held on September 10 and 11 at Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba, Japan.
When a piano music was played to open the show and iKON members appeared on the stage, the concert hall was filled up with fans’ acclamations. By the end of the opening performance, B.I shouted “Party People!” and then single “DUMB&DUMBER” to be released on the 28 this month in Japan was played. All the fans at the show sang along the song with big acclamations.
In the show, iKON presented performances of their hit songs including rock version of “RHYTHM TA”, one of the double title tracks of iKON’s debut half album “WELCOME BACK”, as well as debut warm-up single “MY TYPE”. The team also performed “LOVE” which has not been released in Korea yet, as well as “SINOSIJAK REMIX” that drew much attention even before iKON’s official debut. Plus, another boy group WINNER’s member SONG MINHO appeared on the stage, to perform “FULL HOUSE” with iKON’s member BOBBY, to electrify fans. Unit team “MOBB” formed by WINNER’s SONG MINHO and iKON’s BOBBY is enjoying big popularity these days.
While holding Japan arena tour, iKON will release “DUMB&DUMBER”, their first original single in Japan, on September 28. The single will include Japanese versions of total four songs: “DUMB&DUMBER”, “#WYD” that drew much popularity when released in Korea in May this year; “LOVE ME” which is released in Japanese first; and lastly “SINOSIJAK”.
