[동아닷컴=최윤나 기자] 2NE1’s last single “Goodbye” will be released on January 21 at 0 o’clock.

YG Entertainment (“YG”) drew keen attention by unveiling a teaser poster of “Goodbye” on January 19 on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com). The poster displays a small shadow of a woman in front of four women who appear to be 2NE1 members. The image is expressing a feeling of missing good old memories.

CL took part in writing the lyrics of 2NE1’s farewell single “Goodbye”, to honestly express the sorrow of parting from fans.

Foreign musicians J Gramm and Rook Monroe wrote the melody of the song. J Gramm is the producer of D.R.A.M’s “BROCCOLI” that drew big attention by taking No.1 on Billboard’s R&B/HIPHOP chart last year with a debut single. Rook Monroe took part in writing the lyrics of “Desperado” included in world-famous pop star Rihanna’s album “Anti” released last year.

“Goodbye” expresses 2NE1’s sorry feeling that they could not officially say goodbye to fans after the abrupt decision on the team’s disbandment. People are paying keen attention to how much the farewell song will touch the hearts of 2NE1 fans.

YG has intentionally restricted from promoting 2NE1 for the farewell single. The poster is the first teaser unveiled for the single.
