“Crisis? Never”… WINNER’s ‘REALLY REALLY’=WINNER’s greatest-ever hit song since their debut
[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] WINNER’s ‘REALLY REALLY’ released on April 4 at 4PM took No.3 on the real-time chart of Korea’s biggest music-streaming website Melon, after climbing the chart up again even though it was released more than one month ago. With such record, ‘REALLY REALLY’ became the greatest-ever hit song since WINNER’s debut.
People were doubtful about the success of WINNER’s new album, as WINNER had been absent from the music scene for more than a year and one of the members left the team last year. The crisis of YG was regarded as the crisis of YG and people were skeptical about the future of YG.
However, those doubts and concerns have been turned into even greater anticipation, with WINNER’s new album setting unprecedented records.
Upon the release of their new songs in early April, WINNER swept No.1 on domestic charts and on the iTunes chart of 21 countries around the world, marking a successful comeback. They also took quintuple crown in TV music shows. After the release of WINNER’s new album, top singers such as IU and Hyuk O released new albums, so WINNER was taken down from top ranks on charts. However, today, WINNER succeeded in climbing up the charts again, to take No.3 on the chart of Melon.
As new songs are poring out onto the charts every day and many top singers are coming back with new songs recently, WINNER’s record bears all the more significant meaning.
WINNER’s miraculous success that nobody expected is a good proof of the fact that good music is always the right answer and good music is always recognized and loved by the public for a long time.
