[fn★Chart Results] BLACKPINK Has Become No.1 on Oricon Chart for Two Consecutive Days, Taking Japan by Storm
[파이낸셜뉴스=이소희 기자] BLACKPINK has taken the No.1 spot on Oricon charts for two days in a row.
As of August 31, BLACKPINK’s Japan debut mini album “BLACKPINK” took the No.1 spot on Oricon’s Daily CD Albums chart once again, proving the group’s huge popularity.
On the day of the album’s release, as much as 21,583 copies were sold, putting the album at the No.1 spot on Oricon charts. Afterwards, 5914 additional copies were sold, making the album become No.1 once again.
Demonstrating its popularity, BLACKPINK was on the cover of Nylon Japan. The girl group debuted in Japan by holding a showcase at Nippon Budokan. Japan’s five major TV broadcasters and six newspapers came to cover the showcase. Many Japanese celebrities took great interest in the showcase too.
BLACKPINK also performed for the opening stage of Japan’s biggest summer music festival A-Nation 2017 and enthralled 45,000 people.
The girl group already has four music videos that have passed the 10 million view mark. In total, BLACKPINK’s music videos on YouTube surpassed a billion views, showing the group’s strong presence .
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is to perform at the 25th Tokyo Girls Collection on September 2 and the Kobe Collection the next day.
