iKON is on Fire During Their First Week of Comeback… No. 1 in Major Music Charts for 3 Consecutive Days

iKON’s 2nd official album ‘RETURN’ released on January 25 is dominating music charts, and their comeback performances at MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ is receiving enthusiastic responses from fans.
Their title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ is dominating various music charts for 3 consecutive days. They not only topped the real-time chart and daily chart in Melon, which is Korea’s biggest music platform, but they are also topping the charts in Genie, Olleh, Bugs, Soribada, and more. They are continuing their no. 1 parade from the 26th, which is a day after the album was released in the 25th at 6 PM.
The group’s comeback performances that continued for two days through music broadcasts are also continuing to receive positive reviews. They caught the viewer’s attention with their restrained yet powerful group dance, and sensuous choreography that well portray the lyrical content.
Today (28th) at ‘Inkigayo’, iKON noticed their comeback by performing the title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ and ‘BEAUTIFUL’, which is another track from ‘RETURN’.
The video of iKON’s performance is receiving explosive responses with views rising at a fast pace in YouTube and Naver TV. The video released in Naver TV was ranked at the TOP3 in the TOP100 chart for all categories as soon as its release. Furthermore, in the age-specific teenage chart, the video was ranked at no. 1.
The fans responded positively to iKON’s performances by stating, “Amazing live performance, they are geniuses at performing”, “The song, hairstyles, outfits, everything was perfect”, “They have so much potential”.
The craze for iKON was based on the members’ growth in musicality. B.I was credited as lyricist and composer in all 12 tracks from the album, while the other members also improved in song interpretation and performance capacities.
The lyrics of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ state and contain the sincere agonies on love and the feelings of failure and pain. It was possible because iKON successfully interpreted the search for their first intentions combined with their experiences gained throughout time into the music.
iKON gave meaning to their new album by stating, “We feel like this is our turning point”. iKON who successfully started their first week of comeback will actively promote the album in Korea.
The group will actively engage in other activities besides music broadcasts as well, including a fan signing event, a fan meeting, and guest appearances in variety programs including ‘Knowing Bros’, ‘Weekly Idol’, ‘Sugar Man 2’, and many more.
