‘YG Treasure Box’, From Street Casting to Trainee Release… YG’s System Revealed
[OSEN=박진영 기자] ‘YG Treasure Box’ revealed part of the first episode with the show’s premiere only 4 days ahead, raising the expectations of the ‘Treasure Makers’.
Today(12th) at 2 PM, YG entertainment revealed the preview for the first episode of ‘YG Treasure Box’ through their official blog and VLIVE(V App).
Representative producer YANG HYUN SUK’s determination when he stated, “They have good visuals and are talented this much? Making a group like this is my goal” left a strong impression on the viewers, while the video started by revealing the trainees practicing hard to improve their skills.
As the new boy group will consider both visuals and talent, the first episode of ‘YG Treasure Box’ will reveal YG’s selection criteria and the training process.
The preview also revealed a street casting scene with the theme, “YG’s trainee casting process revealed for the first time”. The trainees that followed grabbed the viewers’ attention with their handsome looks.
The ‘YG trainee release story’ was also previewed. The trainees who lack in skills who must leave YG due to the accumulated warnings made the viewers feel sorry but represented the fierce and competitive world of trainees at the same time.
In the end of the video, 6th year trainee BANG YE DAM and 15-year old PARK JEONG WOO battled each other while revealing their own charms, when representative YANG stated, “Why don’t the strongest ones battle each other”. Representative YANG’s assessment that started with “Today’s victory is…” was full of tension, even for the viewers watching the preview.
A fierce competition is expected on ‘YG Treasure Box’, the program that will select YG’s new boy group in 4 years, following BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON, as president YANG has noticed to select “approximately 5 members out of 29”. The program will reveal YG’s music producing know-hows and internal system accumulated for the past 22 years unlike existing debut survival programs, to broadcast the progress of the new group’s creation.
‘YG Treasure Box’ will be composed of 10 episodes and will pre-release through VLIVE(V App) on the 16th at 10 PM and premiere through JTBC2 and YouTube on the same night at 12 AM.
