“MINO’s Solo Power”.. Topes 6 Music Charts + iTunes Charts in 16 Countries
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group WINNER’s MINO successfully stood up as a solo rapper. He is performing well not only in Korean music charts, but also overseas.
On November 26 at 6 PM(KST), MINO released his first solo album, ‘XX’. He has been active as a solo artist through Mnet’s ‘Show Me The Money 4’ and unit MOBB, but it’s his first time releasing an album.
MINO’s album has been highly anticipated since he has shown his unique colors through songs released by WINNER and as a solo. The high level of completion of the album is sweeping Korean music charts and even receiving popularity in overseas markets.
MINO’s Album ‘XX’ topped iTunes Album Charts in 16 different countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, and Vietnam as soon as the album was released.
The title song of the album, ‘FIANCÉ’, topped Song Charts in 9 countries including Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, and Vietnam. The results proved MINO’s global popularity.
MINO’s ‘FIANCÉ’ is also dominating Korean music charts. The song was placed at no. 1 as soon as the album was released and currently maintaining its top position on 6 music charts as of November 27 at 8 AM including Genie, Soribada, Olleh Music, Mnet, Bugs Music, and Melon, which is Korea’s largest music platform.
MINO has participated in producing all 12 tracks of his solo album. He was credited as a writer and composer of all tracks and participated in the producing of all songs, putting in his various musical emotions into the album. MINO’s good start is making people look forward to his solo activities.
