BLACKPINK Reaches 86.3M Views on YouTube in 24 Hours Since its Official Release, ‘First·Best·Most’… Global Influence

They have dominated major music charts in and out of Korea, as well as setting the most accumulated views and most viewers record in 24 hours on YouTube, proving their strong influence as a top global artist group.
On June 29(local time), YouTube officially announced, “BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ MV has reached the biggest user record on YouTube Premiere with 1.66M users”. They continued, “The song reached 86.3M views in 24 hours since its release, which is the highest figure in history”.
Major foreign media also spotlighted the new record. US Billboard covered BLACKPINK’s amazing achievement in detail and wrote, “BLACKPINK set new and important records on YouTube with ‘How You Like That’ released last weekend”.
Forbes, the American economy magazine, also spotlighted the new history set by BLACKPINK and praised the group by writing, “YouTube has officially announced that ‘How You Like That’ has reached 86.3M views in 24 hours since its release. It is an amazing record that surpasses the previous record with a huge gap”.
They continued, “The song is the pre-release single from their first official album upcoming in autumn and is leaving a strong impression on global music charts as well as setting new records on YouTube”. They forecasted, “When the first week sales and streaming records are revealed, it will become BLACKPINK’s all-time no. 1 hit song”.
Variety, the American culture magazine, left a favorable review on the song by explaining that “’How You Like That’ is the best single of the week” and commenting, “It’s a song that will heat up this summer”.
Furthermore, the song is also proving the group’s presence in major music charts in and out of Korea. As of June 30(KST) at 8 AM, the song is ranked at no. 1 on major Korean music charts including Melon, as well as regaining the no. 1 spot on the iTunes US Song chart. The song has previously topped iTunes Song charts in 64 different countries, setting the best record in K-Pop girl group history.
The song is also performing well on Spotify, the biggest music streaming platform in the world with over 200M users. BLACKPINK was ranked at no. 2 on the Global Top 50 chart, raising the previous record in K-Pop(no. 3) by 1 rank.
