BLACKPINK Reveals Dance Practice Video of ‘How You Like That’→Holds Dance Cover Contest
[스타뉴스=공미나 기자] Group BLACKPINK revealed the dance practice video of ‘How You Like That’ and announced that they will hold a dance cover contest, grabbing the attention of global fans.
On July 6, YG Entertainment uploaded the dance practice video of ‘How You Like That’ on BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel. The revealed video showed BLACKPINK members dressed in black, while perfectly presenting their dynamic moves in a studio full of pink lights.
The members’ capacities to enlighten the mood of the song by presenting relaxed facial expressions and gestures despite the fierce performance impressed the viewers.
The performance of ‘How You Like That’ was created by world-famous choreographers including Kiel Tutin, Kyle Hanagami, and Sienna Lalau, who previously worked on ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and ‘Kill This Love’. They completed an unrivaled choreography by adding strong and hip elements, more than that of any previous performances BLACKPINK has ever presented.
Starting from the verse with their beautiful dance lines standing out to ‘hip’ moves with power on the powerful beat of the drop, the members revealed their charisma by freely going back and forth. The dance break scene where BLACKPINK and the dancers faced their hands with each other while moving forward in one line connected with the message of the song, leaving a strong impression on the viewers.
In addition, YG also announced the news on BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ dance cover contest. The contest will be held from the 6th until the 20th, for 15 days, while the 3 final winners will be announced on the 28th.
People who wish to participate should uploaded the dance cover video on YouTube with hashtag s#BLACKPINK #How You Like That #HYLT_Dancecovercontest and fill out an application on Google Form.
